Week 36 check up

I went to the dr today for my 36 week check up. I had my Group B strep test and an ultrasound. Addison weighs 6lbs 11 ozs. The normal weight for her "age"is 5lbs 12 ozs. Her measurements indicate that I am somewhere between 35w2d +/- 22 days and 37w5d +/- 22 days. My due date is still June 20th. They won't change a due date based on the 3rd trimester measurements and ultrasound b/c they can be up to 3 weeks off. She was sucking her thumb through the ultrasound too. I am cleared to deliver as of tomorrow. They will do nothing to stop it if I go into labor. We may have a little one any time between now and the end of June!!! =D

False Alarm

Well, I was sent to Labor and Delivery today because I was having frequent contractions. They monitored me for 45 min to an hour and only saw 1 really long contraction. Since they were so far apart, they sent me home with doctors orders to rest and come in for my appointment on Thursday.

Week 36 belly pics

An almost complete nursery

So I got VERY motivated today and cleaned out all of the trash and arranged the nursery. We will be hanging blinds and curtains tomorrow after we get back from Babies R Us with more fun stuff. Here are some pictures of what we have done so far. We are getting a rocker from my parent’s house soon so I'm sure there will be more rearranging after that.

34/35 week check up

I went Monday for my 34/35 week check up. It was my last "tummy check". Starting next week he'll check me for dilation every time I go, which will be once a week. Everything looks good. He said she is measuring where she should be and we are on track for a June 20th due date still give or take a week. He said the pains I have been having in my pelvis are just my hormones helping my body get ready to deliver and moving my pelvis around. My next appointment is next Thursday afternoon at 3:15 for my ultrasound. They said after next Friday I am in the clear to deliver so if I go into labor after that they will not try to stop it. According to my weekly email updates, Addison should weigh in around 5lbs and 20 inches long.

Baby shower #2

On Saturday Missy George and her mother Maggie hosted a baby shower for me. We all had TONS of fun. My grandmother came in for the occasion as well. I will be posting pictures as soon as I get some uploaded. Grandmom and Grandpoppy got her a cute bathing suit for our trip to Florida in August, a sun dress and princess piggy, her very first piggy bank.


Great GrandMemaw made her a very soft blanket and Great grandaddy got her a frame for her foot print and a cute doll. Addison now has a closet full of clothes. I think she is getting close to having more clothes than her mommy (Daddy would disagree).
Great Great Aunt Jane got Addison a beautiful blanket and a very cute warm up suit and footed onesie. Uncle Terry and Aunt Pam gave us a wonderful baby carrier that is going to get a TON of use over the next year. Jenny Miller gave her a beautiful embroidered blanket, rattle and bear outfit for her to wear around Halloween. Missy and Maggie got a buggy bag for mommy to use when she takes Addison to the grocery store or for when they eat out so Addison doesn't have to sit in a nasty high chair. They also got her some really cute clothes. Missy's sister Jennifer gave us some bottles that are great for nursing babies and a bottle cleaner. Ben and Jessica gave her a cute onesie, rattle and some other goodies that are going to be very useful. Martha Joyce gave her a cute hooded princess towel, some wash clothes and and clothes.

We all had a wonderful time and I thank everyone who came!!

33 weeks and still counting

I'm 33 weeks today. I feel like I have doubled in size over the last few weeks and they say Addison will do most of her growing over the next 2-3 weeks, almost reaching her full weight.

I decided to be impulsive today and got my hair cut. I donated my hair to locks of love and had 10 inches cut off. Picture will be posted soon. I want Zack to see it first ;)


***UPDATE*** here is my hair the day I cut it.

32 weeks and counting!!

I had my 32 week check up yesterday. Dr. Williams said Addison weighs a bit over 4lbs now. It looks like she is right in line with where she should be fore 32 weeks. According to my 20 week ultrasound that I saw, when they measured her head, my due date was June 22nd +/- 12 days. When they measured her femur her due date was June 15th +/- 12 days. So, basically any time in the month of June she could be here =D We will be ready whenever she decides to make her debut!!! I go back to the dr. May 12th for another tummy check then I will go the 23rd for my 36 week check where he'll check me for dilation and also do my final ultrasound. I will let everyone know how that goes!!

Baby Party

We had a wonderful baby party on Sunday. Many of our close friends were there and it was wonderful seeing some that we have not seen in a while and catching up.

Nursery Update

On Saturday mom and dad came up to help us get ready for the shower on Sunday. While mom and I were baking, Zack and dad worked in the nursery and got the chair rail put up and the crib put together. Here are some recent pics.

So tonight when I got home i decided to go ahead and do the first coat of the bottom color for the nursery and put the last coat on the trim. The bottom color is a bit darker than I had expected but it'll due. The top color is a very light pink (looks white in the picture) but once everything is all together I think it will look pretty good.

30 week doctors apt

Well, I went to the dr yesterday for my 30 week check up. I have only gained another half pound so i'm at 18.5 total for the almost 8 months (YAY). I do not have gestational diabetes!!!!! (doing the happy dance) only one of my numbers was elevated and it was only by 3 points and 2 numbers have to be elevated for you to have GD. He said that I still needed to watch my intake of biscuits, breads, french fries, ice cream and cake. He said Addison isn't too big now for her age. It seems that her growing has slowed a bit so she is catching up to where she should be. That is good news as well. I go back in 2 weeks and have an ultrasound in 6. So far so good.

We finally got all of the wallpaper off the walls in the nursery. Its almost done. I have to put a second coat of brown on the trim and Zack has a few big areas left to paint and then we have to put the chair rail on the wall and we're all done. It will be great to have that behind us weeks before she is born.
