Easter Eve Playdate

 

Saturday after nap time, we went over to Polly’s house to play, dye and hunt Easter eggs and have dinner.   The girls had a few lessons in sharing but had a great time.

 

 

They chatted it up on the porch of the play house

and had a few laughs.

 

 

Addison tried to ride the trikey

And Polly pushed her in the Cozy Coup.

 

Then decided she wanted to ride too…

 

Tantrums were had on both sides

But they made up

Had a race,

 

Shared the car.

Flash forward 16 years…

 

Checkin out guys…. (aye de mi! I’m not ready for that)

Then, we colored eggs….

 

Addi decided to throw her eggs in the dye and colored her face as well.

Polly fit as many eggs as she could in each cup

And her hands showed her fun!

 

I love their cute chocolate faces!

And before the night ended, they shared the trikey too

Saturday morning we headed out to the campground at Lawrenceville First UMC and participated in their Easter festivities.  They had an egg hunt, jumpy, inflatable slide, snow cones and a whole lot more!

Last Thursday Addison had an Easter Egg hunt at school.  Here are a few pics from the extravaganza!

 

Addison’s BFF Polly.  She stole this egg out of another basket and hid in the slide tower while she enjoyed the chocolate.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Last Sunday we got together to have Brunch and celebrate Mimi’s birthday.  We had lunch at Holman-Finch Public House in Atlanta and then went to Piedmont Park to take some pictures.  Unfortunately, it was flipping cold out and mommy forgot her jacket so we didn’t stay long.

Some Updates

Addison’s vocabulary is increasing daily.  She has started speaking in 4-5 word sentences to express her want for something or displeasure with something else. 

The other day, I was getting her ready for school and she sang her ABC’s from A-Z with no help and didn’t miss a letter.  I was shocked.  She has since done it once or twice more and i got part of one on tape so I’ll post it soon.

In the bath the other night she discoverd her pruned toes and freaked out saying with much worry, ‘uhoh toes uhoh toes’ ‘uhoh foot, uhoh foot’ over and over… all night until bed.  Then I covered her little feet with her blanked and she said ‘night night toes’.  i painted her toenails for the first time and she can’t decide if its ‘uhoh toes’ or ‘pretty toes’.
